The Durutti Column - Sketch for Summer
Originally formed in 1978 this the ongoing band project of guitarist Vini Reilly. I’d like to see Vini Reilly and Lionel Richie battle it out for who would be the grandfather of chillwaves.

POND - Cloud City
Perth band that happens to have various bros from Tame Impala at anyone time. While they do not sound the same there is still that psych influence it’s much more of a pop sound. My friend who I cued in yesterday, said it sounded like a chilled Scissor Sisters.
hat tip psychedelicmango for generating interest.

Night cap: Real Estate. The perfect night cap pish who needs whiskey.
Right then: Kurt Vile and the Violators. And some chick Mary on the the harp
We Are Each Other - This Is Not Our Home
These guys are opening for Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros. I think it’s the perfect match up to the MAX.
So free. However their digital 45 isn’t, it’s 2 bucks which you can pick up here: http://weareeachother.bandcamp.com/

Porcelain Raft - Tip of Your Tongue
I would generally save a track like this for during the week because things tend to be a little slow during the weekends but I need to share this. An one-man project of recording and playing live with guitars, sampler, loops and keyboard. A sound that could probably be described of a twist of shoegaze and dream pop. Which to some basically sounds like the same thing…
If you’re in the U.K. specifically London you might want to try and check him out. He’s got a couple shows in the coming weeks.
For those who don’t understand: Slow Motion > Tomboy. It means I think “Slow Motion” is better than “Tomboy”.
