I try to stay apolitical on this blog but what if the White House under Former President Bush submitted this? They’d be tearing down the gates. All G.W. Bush wanted to was listen to some phone calls of known terrorist. This bill would allow the President to “declare a cybersecurity emergency” relating to ‘non-governmental’ computer networks and do what’s necessary to respond to the threat.” I am for this if it were for government networks but this is getting it’s fingers into the private networks. This is not the government job nor should the government play a role in this. Where are we Iran? China?
