Loyal Divide - Flights

Now I happen to know said music blogger and he also stated that because he thought this was chillwave he doesn’t deserve to have a music blog. Now that person maybe be me or may be some other donk… but I’m just sayin’…

via katiepierce:

Chicago band, Loyal Divide, slow things down a bit with the newest single off their upcoming debut LP, Bodice Ripper which is due to drop this fall. There are some great subtle variations in the drums, and layering, making for a intricate yet relaxing track.

Based on this you may be tempted to immediately label this band as “chillwave” as a blogger friend of mine did. *nudge*nudge* I pointed him to DDF, a bass-thumping, perfect-for-a-roadtrip track that sounds like your looking out on an Indian dancer through a turning fan blade.

Those of you in Columbus should go to Loyal Divide’s show at The Basment on August 28th.

Chicagoans can catch Loyal Divide at North Coast Music Festival Sunday, September 5th.
